Is it ok not to use the rear cross member? I have a v8 I want to put in but cant find urethane mounts to use. Only the front engine mounts and tranny I can find urethane. Or can I remove the cross member? thanks to anyone for help.

Re: rear engine mount crossmember

Are you talking about the one that holds up the bell housing and back of the motor? Do you have a tranny mount now for an automatic or a car 3 or 4 speed? When i converted my old 72 to automatic i chopped mine out and put in the tailshaft crossmember.
