Powdercoat to the max?

I am gonna customize an 85' K20 and I will powdercoat most of the truck. I want to do the body panels as well. Good idea? I can powdercoat small parts myself but the big parts I will have to use someones powdercoat oven. Tell me what you think.

Re: Powdercoat to the max?

Do it in Chrome, it will be a jaw dropper at shows if you do it right. I've seen chrome cowl panels for the 67-72's on e-bay before.

Re: Powdercoat to the max?

It's a bad idea and more expensive than paint.

The finish on powder coat isn't as good as it is with paint and it's WAY more expensive. Not only that, but your body panels can warp from the extreme heat in the oven.
