The Price is Right
It has been a great week so far met a guy with a hugger orange and white GMC. Great guy he was running Kansas 1972 plates on his truck and just happend to have a set of 1971 tags he was not using and is going to give them to me on monday. Right after that I take "old orange" into the body shop to get a estimate on some of the harder parts to cut out. The owner has two 67-72 GMC's on his farm and is willing to do the frame swap to a SWB keeping my 71 5 lug set up media blast and paint the frame and components. He will also chop out all the rust and replace with new sheet metal. Do the 350/350 change from a 292/4speed and rebuild the engine if needed. Basically a custom frame off job for the price of 8k with me buying all the parts. I thought this was a heck of a deal since I have seen some of the other rides in the shop and they look great. Made an appointment to bring her in in June and he says I can have her back in 45 days completed.

Re: The Price is Right
Make sure you get a contract with start/finish dates and a itemized list of what is to be done.Make sure it contains specs for door gap etc.
