This old/new hydrogen idea for gas enginen
I was reading about this idea that people say works. You use the 12v dc and make the hydrogen gas and send it into the intake mainfold and create an extreamly clean burn. I'm a welder and understand the concept of inert gas which will shield the tungston from oxygen and blowing apart. That being said This sounds simular with adding the hydrogen to the combustion chamber which as I've read will create a clean burn and give you better gas mileage. has anybody here tried this. I think I might try this with my 93 chevy pickup due to the fact the computer might be kind of forgiving.

Re: This old/new hydrogen idea for gas enginen
I am currently in the process of building a "Smack's Booster". There is a lot of conflicting info/opinions out there but it sounds to me that it should work. Here's a link to some info:

Re: This old/new hydrogen idea for gas enginen
I have a friend that works in R&D for GM. He told me that they are working feverishly with "vapor injection". He claims that it "should" double your gas mileage. He also says GM wants to introduce this on some models soon.
I was told back in the 70's when gas fears arose this was a hot topic. I think it's one of those things that is too good to be true. Last edited by Harley1650; 05-25-2008 at 04:16 PM. |

There's a guy on fullsizechevy.com who has built one of these for a carbed S-10 and he said it has helped. I'll try and find the link.
