Was wondreing how it went with those of you that were lucky enough to get a set. I had a bad month financially and was forced to pass my set up, sorry didnt mean to waste your time. Hopefully that wont affect me and my word when I say I would like to get a set on the next batch.

I understand, things come up.

I too would like to receive some more feedback on the brackets. I have heard from several that they were very pleased with the quality and craftmanship...but as far as I know, none have been installed yet.

I think I will make a second run, but am waiting to see how the installs go first in case I need to make any changes.

I just recieved the 6x9 speakers for them. I went to Best Buy and couldn't find any with full coverage face grills so I ordered some on line. I held them in place and they fit fine. I thought they were well made. I will post pictures when I get them installed. That won't happen for a week or two as I'm going to be out of town a lot.

Re: 6x9 brackets that were sold here...

I am very pleased with the product, and the shipping time was excellent! Mine won't get installed till early fall or winter at best. I'm the kind of guy that will gut the whole interior rather than just add a new feature. Some say I'm excessive, I say I'm thorough! I'm saving up for another interior remodel like I did to the '87. I really liked the way that truck turned out. Unfortunately, reverse is almost gone so now the trans has to come out of that one. So, that being said, excessive me will prob go through the engine at the same time, so the 79 is on hold as of now.

Bob, I also dislike the open 6x9 speaker grilles offered with today's line of speakers! What's up with that anyway? I have a 3 year old that would just love to stick his finger right through the damn woofer!

Re: 6x9 brackets that were sold here...

I am hoping to get mine in within the coming weeks. I have been away at school and will be starting my summer job and summer school the end of next week. I have not been home to check them out yet but the shipping was defiantly done in a timely fashion. I will be using a sound deading material on the back of them and eather painting or leaving them alone. not sure which
