Mixed emotions today....sold my truck.
Well, it'll be official tomorrow. Sold it cheaper than I wanted to, but it's going to a good home. My brother is buying it for my nephew (nephew is 11). It's painful to let it go, but I've been fed up with it for a few years now, and no matter what I do to it, I don't get a good feeling out of it. So it was time to go. It'll be here until he pays the full sum, but that'll be 2-3 weeks tops. Don't worry about me though, I'm not going anywhere.

Hey, if it's no fun anymore than who can blame you for moving on. When it's time for something to go, it's just time for it to go. I've been there myself.

Sometimes the best thing to do is to separate yourself from this stuff entirely for a while, until you figure out why you enjoyed it in the first place.

Looks like a good truck to fix up. At least it will still be in the family.

Re: Mixed emotions today....sold my truck.
I just went through the same thing. It didn`t seem real until the last dollar was handed over and I was given a ride home.
Looks like the truck`s giving you a lookne eye shut and squinting out the other.

Even though it is sold, at least it went to a good home and it's staying in the family so you can see it any time you want!

Andy, you don't wanna know what I got for it. I'm sure it was in your budget

Re: Mixed emotions today....sold my truck.
I'm fortunate enough to have 2 projects going on at the same time. The 67 is in the paint shop. This one is giving me a lot more grief than the truck (honda S2000 motor in updated Lotus 7 replica)

Wow, need more specs on that one, that a Griffin body, or a knock-off? Neat looking project.

Re: Mixed emotions today....sold my truck.
uh....you couldn't afford to uh....put gas in it! I just got sick of it, so I sold it cheaper than I needed to....it's something I've been agonizing over for about a year now, and finally said screw it.. I kinda wish I would have sold it to someone else, so I wouldn't have to see it anymore....lol

Re: Mixed emotions today....sold my truck.
it ain't too late... I'll come get it. I've gotten a loan for gas money before!
Sell it to me man... you'll never see it again! Or you could sell it to randy, he'd cut it up and sell it for meth.. then NO ONE would ever see it again. (He probably wouldn't recognise the seat in it) |

Re: Mixed emotions today....sold my truck.
Sorry to hijack the thread, but I know the feeling as this car has me frustrated too (not enough to sell yet).
It's from World Class Motorsports, out of Texas. The S2K model http://www.wcmultralite.com/ Last edited by Mondo; 05-20-2008 at 02:05 AM. |
