Hood

Help!!!!!!!!!!!! can anyone help me with my hood it keeps popping up in the back near the cowl not much maby an inch and i dont know how to fix.

Try some PB blaster on the rivets & all pivot points on the hinge. If you can push down on the rear of the hood and it closes properly flush then your hood should be close to correctly adjusted. If not readjust & lub. If that don't work might be time to replace them. Work them well after lub. That & door hinges are commonly forgotten.

Your gonna need new hood hinges, the rivets wear down after 40 years or so. They arent too expencive.

My 72 did that.Somebody on here said to loosen the hinge bolts on the fender and open the hood as far as it will go.That worked for me you might want to try that.
