tachometer to hei conversion

Greetings!

I am looking for someone to convert the tach in my truck to hei. I installed the gauge cluster, and want to go to Gm's big cap hei ignition. My reading says that the tachs will not read correctly.

Thanks in advance

That is a farse as far as I can tell. I have personally tested 500-600 of these truck dashes and have found that most if not all factory or repop tachs will work with HEI. Accuracy on the other hand may be sacraficed some, after all it is 40 year old technology.

Re: tachometer to hei conversion

I have factory tach and just switched to HEI and it is just as inaccurate as it was before.
