Question for the tire experts- 28"x17"
I've decided that I want to run 275-50-17s (28" tall) on the rear of my truck. On the front I'd like to find a tire that is not quite as wide,(maybe 8-9 inch tread) but is still 28" tall. I'd also like a decent looking tire, hopefully a v-groove tread pattern. I've found the 275-50s for the rear in several brands, and found 255-55-17s for the front, but can't find a matching front tire from the same manufacturer. What sizes other than 255/55/17 would give me a 28" tall tire? I've played around with online calculators but haven't found what I'm looking for.

Try this http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp You can throw in sizes and it will let you know the width/ diameter a 235/60x17 is 28.1 tall Also, looking at other than 17s up front will give you more choices.
