AC on a '69 SWB

I'm about to order an AC kit for the C10. My truck never had AC so I need the assy drive, brackets, etc. Been thinking of the Vintage Air kit. Also, I don't want alot of billet under the hood so that narrows my options. Got ant advice on the install and part's list? Thanks

Re: AC on a '69 SWB

call v/a and tell them what you want and are doing. they can change hard line routing and such for a easier fit. The original one i got was fine buy was going to have a lot of tweeking to work with my truck. when i called with questions found out there were options the dealer didn't tell me that made it much easier. I also used Alan Grove brackets painted the truck color for a good blend. If you want to p.m. me i can give more info. Good luck

67chevyredneck has a good thread about his install of a Vintage Air system.

Prices:

Sure fit kit: $1,125

Factory type controls: $195

Front Runner accessory drive kit: $2,070

I've got to find a cheaper drive kit.

Why do you need an accessory drive kit?

I would really like to go with a serpentine belt. I know the GM sells a serpentine setup with all the accessories for $750, I'll do a little more research on that tomorrow.
