how low can a stock s10 go?
ive got a 92 s10 with the 4cyl. and want to do the frme swap and put a 54 chevy truck on it, but use all of the chassis of the s10. i am curious about how low the frame is in the cab area when at the lowest drivable position. im making a truck with out running boards so the bottom of the cab is the bottom of the frame and im looking to be around 4" from the ground. i just want to know if im going to have to channel it or not. thanks.

You'll have to c-notch, the lowest you can go with a notch is a about 6inches in the rear and that'll prolly have you 2-3 inches from your 4inch goal.

Re: how low can a stock s10 go?
how big of a notch do i have to go? looking at my truck and the 54 i came up with this.
the 54 is already channeled 6" (roughly). the frame on the s10 is 5.5". so now i just have to get the frame 4 inches off the ground unless i want to channel the truck (not opposed to this idea). so we'll see what i can do. any pics from anyone on dropped s10 with out a notch? im at 9" from the ground right now. my measurements are at the back of the cab.
