What I got done today...

I finally got my firewall done today. The first photo is what it looked like last summer when I disassembled the front end. Since my truck is a driver, I found a Duplicolor spray paint at Autozone that was a pretty close match, srubbed, sanded, primed, and painted. The toeboard was already undercoated and I didn't want to get into the hassle of scraping all that mess off so I just rolled on a thin layer of 3M undercoating to even it all out. I also got my heater box disassembled and cleaned up. Now I can start putting the suspension and steering components back on. Still got the front clip hanging over my head, though. Thanks to those who gave advice a few weeks back.

In person, it's actually a little bit lighter with a metallic look. Side by side you can see the difference, but I figure, under the hood, it'll be hard to tell once it's all put back together. I just hope it's durable. Thanks for the compliments! I'm just glad to be working on it again. It's been a long, busy winter.

China Grove is a great place to live except I've got in-laws on both sides of me! LOL

70c10, aren't you from Maryland? I was an Army brat, used to live in Aberdeen. My sister still lives there. Didn't you have a thread about the LED's in your gauge panel? Looks cool!
