Well s***, I have rust bubbles coming through the cab above the windshield. I suspect a bad drip rail seal. How bad/fixable is this problem? I have very little cab corner and rocker cancer but the area above the windshield is getting pretty yucky. One door is bad too but that's relatively easy. Am I looking at a new cab for this or can it be patched?

Any help/opinions would be mucho appreciated . . .

jmil, gmcpaul sells the replacement piece that can be welded in there. You will have to dig into it and see how bad it is. You may be able to just cut it out and weld up the holes. Bad spot to get rust.

Because of the design of the windshield frame on these trucks, that is one of the most common spots to rust through.

I ended up getting a good windshield frame from a "donor" Blazer I bought a couple of years ago; no replacement parts were available then that I knew of...How do the panels underneath your floor pans look? Mine are really bad and I can't find replacements. I've been considering getting some 16/18 gauge sheet metal and making my own!
