Ex rust on my panel
Some shots of the rust thats been cut off and replaced. One of the lower qtr's was home made out of a flat chunk of metal then screwed and braised on. Next a nice thick coat of bondo for forming like new contours
 . The other one Im posting pics of has over size patch chunks fitted from the rear and welded on the outside. It looks like it has holes that were drilled to pull the metal out, and then everything had a nice thick coat of bondo to smooth out the surface and make that baby factory fresh. |

My rule is that it dont get cut off or replaced until it blisters or bubbles the paint off! LOL
The current body rot/repair-overhaul periodicity on my daily driver is every 10 years body work has to be done. The last experiment is holding solid...the rocker panels. Since they have missed this overhaul, I hope they can make it to the next overhaul! Frank

Its amazing what you will find under "fresh" paint or even under primer "ready to scuff an shoot" ya right! But yur gunna have a goodun when yur dun! I'm watchin the rear hatch- door mod any updates on this? Been wantin to do this one since I saw an Astro van, workin on pile'n parts.

Loiking good CG. It's nice to see your panel taking shape. I like the look of the red plexi glass. I think that I am going to rename my 67 panel project to project "Black Cloud"!
That would be in honer of the black cloud that follows my panel around. 5 or 6 years now in the project stage and sill no paint!! I could go on for hours on this, but I'll save everyone the drama.  Lets just say that I have back burnered it, because I haven't been able to find a trustworthy person to work on it. The only one who has been worth a crap has been Livrat, and it is just too far for him to travel to work on it. I have thought about taking it up to him, but he is extreemly busy these days. It will get done some day though...lol WES
