Lowering My '72 3/4T 4x4

Here's the deal.. It currently has a 6" lift done by the PO with blocks in the rear. One of my original springs has 3 of the 6 leafs that are broken. So I'm looking at going to a 4" lift instead of the 6" when I get new springs.
Which brand is the ticket for this?? Rears are the 52" version.
Superlift?
Skyjacker?
Other

I like Tuff Country. Get the heavy duty. More leafs. My BDS is stiff. Ohters here like the others.

p.s. block lifts r for tools
g for an all leaf and shock for your rear

If your looking for a great ride, look into a set of Alcans.

They might be 'too' soft though if you still want to use it as a 3/4 ton truck.

Blocks will get you by.Even a tool would agree that springs are obviously better.But,until the bandwagon rolled around blocks worked just fine.I`m glad I didn`t know how useless they were when we were out pioneering off roading for all you boys to enjoy today.
I think Tuff Countries are the best thing out there for off-the-shelf springs.

The only option for guys with lifted trucks for many years were blocks in the rear or getting springs rearched if you knew of a shop. My four inch blocks where on my truck from 1980 till just last year with never a problem. (28 years). Now that I have BDS 6" in the rear I can say that the truck rode better with the blocks and orginal springs. For a guy that's a little low on funds, that goes off road sometimes there isn't a thing wrong with 4 or 6 inch blocks in the rear. I guess I'm a Tool.

I had to shorten my driveshaft when I went from 6" to 4".

well i havent had good experiences with block lifts
just feel so dirty when i work with them, now if you are using a block for leveling device instead of like an add a leaf or "rearching" etc.... that's a little different,
but ya know 4-6in of just a chunk of crap lifting up your reara suspension just is kinda weak, and i have never been a fan of em...

60-66 4x4s came with lift blocks from the factory.

Since I have a broken rear spring and am not too crazy about the 6" blocks there now.. it seems like the right time to get the whole setup for 4" springs all the way around and then I can get the 6" hardware to someone who wants it once I get it off and listed on CL or ebay...

Looked at Tuff Country and I should be ordering the set real soon. Thanks for the input

No one is "super" offended at all.Maybe you don`t know how to express yourself properly.You said,"Blocks are for tools",right?Doesn`t that mean anyone who runs or has run blocks is a tool?Isn`t that name calling?Isn`t name calling meant to be offensive?You didn`t know that?Aren`t 4" blocks on the rear used as a leveling device when 4" springs are used on the front?So,you`re saying it`s ok,now?Just think before youtype.You`ll be alright.
I`ve had 1/2 of the springs on trucks broken or missing on stock trucks.It`s metal fatigue,like when a watch spring breaks.

Some have to lengthen when they go higher so it makes sense that some would have to shorten if they come down. The distance from the TC to the pumpkin changes with lift or removing it. I think most all drive shafts are different lengths from what I have seen.

i did the Tcase drop with thw spacer sleeves and longer bolts (on tcase cradle) and diddnt have to do that..
oh well i think i read it wrong ha ha ha, thought he shortened it for raising it....
im not always the smartest
hey any one want to come put my gas tans back in for me i replaced both floats today, and not really in the mood for lifting them back up..
