Finally got my truck dropped this weekend, TOO! pics

Took two of us Sat and Sunday to drop her and put a sway bar under her. Can't believe the difference in ride quality! First pic is before I started working on the truck at the end of March, second is three weeks later, and third is today in the rain.

Who did you go with for the kit, and how low did you go?

Good judgment comes from experience, and experience, well......that comes from bad judgment.

Looks like a 2/4 if correct, but curious on this too. Which sway bar kit did you go with? I think thats my next upgrade.

Re: Finally got my truck dropped this weekend, TOO! pics

Thanks for all the compliments, guys. The drop is 4/5". I know that sounds weird but I talked with Stan at ECE and he said the extra weight of the long bed would give the 5" springs about a 6"drop after everything settled. All the goodies are ECE including the 1 1/4" sway bar. There was a problem with one of the shocks out of the factory box, so again, I spoke with Stan and he immediately sent a new pair. Still waiting on them, just been two days. But folks, you can't beat customer service like that. As I noted above in original post, the ride quality is beyond comparison! I love the ride now AND the look. Got to head to work now.

Regards,
Paul

Hey Paul, did you have to notch the rear with those springs? That baby looks good....

Looks much better with the altitude adjustment....but IMHO, the rally wheels look much better than the rims in the dropped picture.

Re: Finally got my truck dropped this weekend, TOO! pics

Hey Leon, When I talked to Stan a few months ago I asked if I would have to notch the frame with this drop and he said, "not with our springs." I'll see what happens once I get the good shock under her and get to drive more.

dznucks, The shocks were painted with NO labeling on them. If memory serves me correctly, I think Stan MAY have said they were Monroe's but I'm not sure.

72LoBurb, The rally's needed to be painted anyway so I thought I'd do something different. I'll blast them, repaint, and see what I think when the time comes.

Again, thanks guys!
Regards,
Paul

Here's the truck with the new drop and new air shocks. Got the new set from Stan, (ECE), Fri. evening. Rides real well so far. Again, these are before and ... well, OK, after and before pics!

I'm running 255/60-15's on all four. Thought about going bigger on the rear end but didn't. Never can tell!
