Didn't they also have a white painted one too? Had a smaller bowtie. Maybe that was 69 Dunno. I'm lucky to remember where I set my keys before bed.

Sammy...not in '68. I have seen '67 caps in white w/orange bowtie but was not sure that was stock since there is no mention or picture of them in the brochures.

The set that were on my '68 were chrome with the fake lugnuts. The whole center is painted black with red bowtie . They are full wheel covers. Was this an option, maybe? I'll try to get pictures if my grandson ever brings my camera back.

67's were the same cap as 68, but were white with a red bowtie and ring around them. This is how I repainted mine on my beater truck.

Re: '68 Painted Cap for bgblk55

daveo68...Those were the full zoot "wheel covers". You can get repops of those for $90/ea!!!!!! I hope you still have them.

67_C_30...From looking closely at the '67 vs the '68 CST cap there is a difference in the stamping of the bowtie in the center...it is very subtle. I had to look at them side by side to determine the diffence. Other than that the '67 CST caps were orange and black where the '68's were red and black.

BTW...SWEET RIDE...you don't use it to launch your boat in that lake do you?

Still have them, and replaced some of the fake lugnuts. A friend of mine had a set of wheel covers off of a late 60-70 Chevy car with fake lugs. Mine are actually in pretty good shape to be 40 years old.
