Smoke?....Fuel Vapor
You can sometimes see fuel vapor, at idle, especially with higher over-lap cams. It is called "stand-off", "reversion" or sometimes "blow-back". It is more common to V-twin engines because of the odd-firing, but it can happen in nearly any engine if the right conditions are met. As long as it is not so bad that it soaks the air filter, it doesn't really hurt anything. |
