WIIW 1971 Long bed frame

I have a 71 Long bed Cheyenne that I am gong to strip and sell the frame.

What would a rolling frame wiht steering box front and rear suspension, side saddle tanks worth?

If this was a short bed i would say the frame has value but since it is a long I am not sure.

Thanks,
Thomas

Re: WIIW 1971 Long bed frame

depends on your goals.... you could

1. make a short bed out of this one
2. sell for $200 maybe
3. scrap for 8-10 cents per pound
4. build a longbed truck and convert

it really depends if someone close needs it, sometime you can give frames like that away.

The box is in good shape its a wood floor bed, too. Surface rust and in one place a small ding. All cross members are there as most of the strips are stilll in decent shape. Thinking about taking it and stripping, priming and storing. Wood long beds are not often seen around here.

Plus shipping would Kill! LOL.

Yeah, I understand.... didn't think that it would have a great need... pretty sure I am going to strip and part. cutting the frame up to get rid of..

Re: WIIW 1971 Long bed frame

in about two weekends, I will go pick up truck, bring to Austin then strip. Will post parts at that time.

I currently dont need much off of this truck that I know of so if you see it in the photo, ask...

Emblems 400's and Cheyenne will keep as wellas cargo light.

Rest should be avaliable.

Re: WIIW 1971 Long bed frame

I would be interested in the cross sils under the bed and the rear sil under the tailgate if you part the bed out...
