Help - Where to set base timing.
Hey all.
I have a 89 Suburban shortblock with cast iron vortec heads, edelbrock 650 carb and intake, and Comp cams 12-211-2 cam, and HEI. What should I set my base timing at? Cam specs are 224/224 duration @.050 and .470/.470 Lift

Re: Help - Where to set base timing.
Broken in is what I am asking about, for when I get to the tuning/driving stage.
We got it started and ran it up to temp. Still need a little more run time, but everything looks good so far.
