Keep old engine, or scrap?
I just ordered a 350 reman to replace my knocking original 307. Question is, do you think I should keep the old 307 to be a matching #s truck in the future, or should I turn it in for the core for $250. I dont know if it would be worth it to keep it with truck? Any opinions? Its just a 4wd 1970 in fairly original condition, a good driver not a show piece (yet) maybe someday.

Re: Keep old engine, or scrap?
take the $250. Unless you plan on restoring it to original someday, it's probably not really worth keeping.

Re: Keep old engine, or scrap?
Thats what I was thinking, and I didnt realy want to store the old block, and when I do more restoration I would lean more towards resto mod. Thanks for the input.
