ok right now i've got a 700r4 in my truck i've got a line on a turbo 350. Besides obvious stuff like vacum and all that will i need to resize my driveshaft?

You'd need a longer driveshaft.
But, why swap "down" to a 350 if you already have a 700? You can get 700's built to handle power if that's the problem.

hahaha i'm looking for a 700r4 but i was wondering what it'd take to get back to the 350. Anyone know a cheap reliable place to get transmissions? And just be clear the engine isnt going into my truck

but...it is going into a sick 86 camaro. Hope to have pics its a buddies.

How far are you from K.C? There is a shop here that rebuilds the 700-4R real reasonable.

By the time you buy a new driveshaft and find another tranny, you could pay for having yours rebuilt. Just my $.02,

I would not go back to a th 350 after I put in a 700r in my Chevelle.........what a difference..... 65 miles an hour turning 3500 RPM to 65 miles an hour turning 2000 RPM with the 700R........save gas, lots more get up and go...........just my opinion.....

i definately enjoy bein able to cruise 70 at 2,000 rpm but i need to get it rebuilt before long. again 350 plus parts. How much am i lookin at. Again corvette servo and mild shift kit? thanks in advance

I agree with zerwar. I plan on going from a TH350 to a 700r4 with the 57 just for that very reason. Your final gear ratio will be very different.

I love the 700r4 in my truck now but i still need to know approximate price of 350 plus parts. I wanna do corvette servo and mild shift kit.

You can probably rebuilt one your self for about $200 plus a new convertor. A good used core is about $100. I think shift kits run about $100. I'm unsure about the servo. Never heard of changing it over.

But if you pulled it and took it to a shop, they would probably charge your around $700-800 i would think for the cheep side. Those trany techs are proud of their knowledge.

Lou from Muscle Cars did a 350 rebuild on one episode. It was upgraded witha 700 planitary clutch cover. It's not so deep so you can get an extra set of cluches in there. I'll see if i can find it.
