Question K-10 turn radius ?

My K-10 has 4" lift and 35x12.50 tires dana 44 up front. Since I have owned this truck the turning radius has been short. Not so short that I cant get around, but more like driving a crew cab 8' bed. Everyone I talk to with lifted trucks say that the tires should'nt have much to do with my problem. So I am posting this question on the main forum as a general steering question. How should I go about checking componets to find my problem? It will not touch the stops on either turn. It just turns until the steering pump squeals, and thats the stop. Could it be the steering box for all I know it is out of a camero. Any ideas would be great.

Yes, it seems to be the same both ways or real close. It is a long bed.

What year camaro gear box works in a truck? I thought they were all rear stear while the trucks are front stear.

This is where the plot thickens. Can anyone help me sort this front steering out? I dont know if there are different ratios in the boxes or even if it is the box. Why would the steering pump squeal and stop turn before the stop is reached? Are 4x4 steering boxes different then 2x4? What do I check first? Or do I gut the whole thing and start over?

4x4 steering boxes are different from 2 wd steering boxes.
