MG5 behind my 350 in my '67

Any thoughts on putting a MG5 NV3500 behind my 350 w/approx. 300hp. I've measured and it should mount without haveing to cut down my driveshaft any. I want the 4.016 1st gear so that i can change out my 3.73s to maybe 2.43s. It's going to be a daily driver again. Need better MPG. 8-10 with 93 octane doesn't cut it. Check out my New Welcome Area post for detail on that.

Also can i switch out newer '02ish 6lug rims with mine. i need new tires and found rims and tires for $150?
