Re: newbie to the 4x4 seen.
Does it come out of 4 wheel drive? Somtimes you got to whomp on it a little in reverse to get it out. Nice truck! Nothing better than that 67 & 8 hood and grille.

Coonster, welcome to the best site on the entire internet!! And congrats on your 'new' truck! That's a nice clean '67 and exceptionally clean under the hood. Fresh engine?
Not exactly sure what you mean about the hubs... they are different than mine, but I don't think you should expect to hear a 'click' when you unlock them.

Hey welcome to the boards sweet looking truck. That motor looks all shiny and rebuilt maybe? You should n't be able to hear the hubs but you should be able to tell it came out of 4wheel drive.

What gear is the transfer case in when you try to unlock them? Your hubs should lock and unlock freely with no binding.

Re: newbie to the 4x4 seen.
Hi, and welcome, from Indiana. Neither of my 4x4's lockout hubs "click" going either direction. As stated above though, you can definitely tell a difference if one "sticks" after you've unlocked it. If they're very old, I'd go ahead and throw some new ones on there. They can be had for less than a hundred bucks and you'll know they work when you need 'em. Nice truck, BTW.

Good looking truck. I agree with the above - you won't hear a click when you engage or disengage.
