Re: Another EBAY custom job
I can count the things I like on that truck on 1 hand. You would think with all the money he has in the chrome on the motor he would do something better for the fan mount then plumbers tape...

Re: Another EBAY custom job
Damn what a waste of a 68 truck if you ask me. I thought my surface rust on my truck looked bad, that thing is garbage. The motor is the only good looking part of the truck. But thats only if you ask me.

Re: Another EBAY custom job
whew --- one man's trash is another's treasure !
the rear end and back tires are a bit too narrow to go with the drag buckets and tilt front end, but that could be rectified, i guess

Re: Another EBAY custom job
Was I seeing that right?? Did they cut a huge hole in the bed for the fuel cell?

Re: Another EBAY custom job
They call those wheels 'tucked'. I disagree....they say they are 7-1/2" deep. Ohhhhh? The wheels on my Acura are 7" (big woooop).
Also noticed that it still has drum brakes. Going fast is fine, but you still have to STOP. Change the grill Fix the radio hole Fix the fuel cell gaping-hole Change the column (still has hole for shift lever) Then I'd be fine with it.

Lots of stuff I like, some I don't. Ruined the grill though.

Re: Another EBAY custom job
Great hack job on the bed! Apparently this guy is not a member of this board. And the grill omg its so ugly and horrific! And the drag set up is a little much for that truck. I like the tilt hood tho...LOL

Re: Another EBAY custom job
yeah it looked good, some things I'd change, until I got to the grill.
Still, a pretty nice truck, but a lot of things I'd have to change before I'd drive it. |

Re: Another EBAY custom job
As I was flipping through the first few pics I was thinking, "Why the hell are they making fun of this truck..." Then I saw it
At the current price it's something I would consider, it looks as if that funky thing just goes over the grill. Put a 67/68 grill back in, paint to match, and viola, back to a sweet truck.

Re: Another EBAY custom job
My favorite and no one has pointed out yet is the upside down 20oz pop bottle rad. overflow. On a truck an this price jury rigging should not be an option.

Re: Another EBAY custom job
If everyone pitches in 5 bucks, maybe we can buy it and crush it so we never have to see it again. I get the motor prior to crushing......
