Door latch question

Looking at some chromed latches and trying to figure out what two of the parts are for. I know the outer ones are on the cab, but the inner ones look nothing like what's on my 70. Am i missing something?

Those are the plates that go inside the cab opposite of the strikers. Thats what the striker bolts thread into.

Thanks for the reply, i'll take a look at the truck in the morning. I guess this part isn't really seen much which is why i was wondering why it's plated.
