Re: Congrats to Regan Wilson SS win in Chi-town!
Thanks Elky ! Y'all just don't know how cool this was ! I had alot of luck and then stepped up and did my job and got it done in the final . I was told before the semis that I would have to be back in the lanes quickly after the round and killed it coming
up the return road . When I got my time slip it wouldnt start ! I got towed back to the trailer jacked it up and all my friends got it fixed (a broken starter jumper wire ) . I got to the lanes with about 2 minutes to spare won the coin toss and got my lane . I had to use a little different staging method in later rounds becuase of the rollout to cut better lights . Well I had a .005 to Downings .028 and we both went 10.876 in the final ! If y'all want to see the pics go to autoimagery.com and itwill also be telivised on ESPN2 sat the 14th @ 9am .

Man Reagan...good job. I just watched ESPN coverage. The only video of yours was of the Jegs Allstar event. They only showed the final result of the Wally race at the very end for a second. Did you spin on the Allstar race? It looked like it left a little soft and it might of slowed the reaction time a touch. Again great job.

Re: Congrats to Regan Wilson SS win in Chi-town!
Thanks guys , Jim I leave soft anyway all I cuold do was a 30 light shallow staged . In the later rounds I was rolling in deeper . I was dissapointed in ESPN ! They wasted time on dumb stuff like Jegs chef (who cares ? ) Then with 20 minutes left they show the last 2 rounds of the Alchohol classes and a bunch of commercials . They made me feel like an ass becuase they told me I would be on there and I told everyone I know and then some .

Oh and If you watch the Allstar round you can see me dumping on him I knew I caught him way too soon . Then I stabbed it a little too late and he got the stripe by .006 ! I needed about 6 more foot of track. lol

Re: Congrats to Regan Wilson SS win in Chi-town!
Regan, If you don't mind, a couple of questions. Do you run a plate stop? If so electric or air? What RPM is the on stop? Where and how much do you have in the timers? Do you shift on the stop?

Re: Congrats to Regan Wilson SS win in Chi-town!
Jim I have 2 Dominators so I ended up building my own stop . I tried using one inline stop before the bellcrank and they wouldnt consistantly open (my et's varied a tenth pass to pass) . I took 2 ts10 Dedenbear inline stops and cut them down to fit on each carb and run them with one solenoid that I ported out . I cant adjust my rpm on the stop(its around 3600) but its ok I just chip the 2step to get my 60 ft where I want it . I also run a 3speed that time shifts into 2nd while on the stop then I shift high on my own (more fun that way and if I need to I can stretch it out). I am on the stop 2.6 to 3 seconds with a 2.2 60 ft .

Re: Congrats to Regan Wilson SS win in Chi-town!
Thanks Regan. I've been shifting to 3rd on the stop. I would spin coming off the stop in 2nd. This is with an electric plate stop. I am going to switch to an inline stop. I run about 3 in the timer also. I didn't realize you had 2 doms on that beast.

Re: Congrats to Regan Wilson SS win in Chi-town!
Jim I have a th400 with a 2.10 low gear and a 1.31 second gear . Mine would spin or if it hooked yank the front tires about three inches coming off the stop when I had the stock gearset . You are a little lighter than me (3700lbs) mine just doesnt like coming off in high gear . There are alot of racers that cant believe that I run a 3 speed but it works . I have alot less problems than I would if I were breaking Powerglides all the time . It's more fun too !

Re: Congrats to Regan Wilson SS win in Chi-town!
Also jim I think you will be able to come off the stop in second with an inline stop becuase you can adjust the rate . The electric plate stop is a good piece of you aren't overpowering it . The instant on part is whats killing you trying to come off in second .

Congrats Regan on your win in Chicago. I missed the EPSN coverage this past weekend. I wish I could see that truck run again someday...

Re: Congrats to Regan Wilson SS win in Chi-town!
Thanks Orange ! Aggie we will be racing at Red River Sept. 12 to the 14th for the divisional . We might be in Ennis for the National the week after . We will be in Memphis July 18-20th . After that I have to freshen it up . I'm gonna change the cam while I'm at it so maybe it will run like it should after that . Sooner or later it's gonna run over 150 on a 10.90 ! If that doesnt work I guess I will have to save my pennies till i can make a 665 out of it .
