Original original original.....

I would love to see pics of any 67-72 trucks that are near mint original.
I'm in the middle of tweeking my 72 sierra grande and I'm keeping it as original as possible since it really hasn't been touched. Here is a pic of when I bought it and where I am now........love to see others that have kept it stock all the way.

Re: Original original original.....

6500 from a relative that was moving and needed to get rid of it quick. I offered him more but thats all he would take. Love the truck...it works even better than it looks.

Thanks for the compliment...

Re: Original original original.....

Before you reply I must say that I have the original wheels and rims, the horns are comming off, the front grill is original but someone got drunk and painted it so I sent it off to be re-cromed and the alternator isn't orig but I think that is expected.

Bell72,I hope you don`t feel I`m knocking it.I think it`s a very nice,very close to original truck,as you stated.You are aware the rims and horns are not correct.There are five other things...the mirrors,wiper blade assemblies,splash guards,headlight doors painted,windshield gasket,and now I see the V8 emblem.

Re: Original original original.....

Very nice, I must say...

Question, is that the way the truck came with brown steering wheel/dash pad, white seats/panels and turqoise paint?

Just seems odd to me

Hey Special-k;

Absolutely not, I appreciate your input. I was aware of the v8 emblem, slash guards and the headlight doors but I wasn't aware of the windshield gasket and wiper blades. I bought some GM replacement mirrors to replace these and the v8 add on is history. This pic shows where I'm at right now so I should be able to switch out windshield gasket and wiper ass. with stock parts.

Thanks for the input..

Mark
