72 blazer
I have a 72 blazer it has been lowered, before i bought it. the problem is that is bottoms out in the rear, the rear shocks look pretty small, there pretty much useless, would an air shock system be the way to go or air bags?

If you would be able to post some pics of the Blazer, we might be able to answer this question a little better. The PO (previous owner) might have just cut the springs, and not added shock relocators can cause it to slam into the tub when you hit a dip in the road. A bagged suspension would be a great addition to the Blazer, if you have the money. If you're looking to correct this problem cheaply, I would consider picking up some new rear springs and shock relocators from a vendor such as ECE (Early Classic Enterprises) or CPP (Classic Performance Products.

If you put air bags on it you can adjust the ride height to eliminate the bottoming out. Then set it in the weeds when you park it. Mine is notched like yours. Here's a pic of it aired out. Welcome to the board. Post some pictures of your ride. Everyone loves 2wd blazers.

Nice blazer. I have bags front and back, but you could just add them in the rear if thats what you wanted. The rear was really easy. just remove the springs and drill three holes in the frame. One for the air fitting and two for the bag mount. The lower section bolted on with the existing hole in the trailing arm.

I would strongly suggest relocating the shock mounts before any other mods. The angle of the shocks looks like they're probably not doing their job correctly.
