but the boot ..
im ticked.. i diddnt even think abou tthis when i put these wires on..

Re: two choices

I have champion short plugs, there real hard to find and there the price of regular plugs, I priced header plugs and there almost 40 dollars I'll take a picture of the clearence of the plug wire to header tommorrow and the header wrap won't be a bad idea to add

Re: two choices

I'm using Taylor 409 wires with zero issues. Bought a universal wire set and routed them above the headers with some home made brackets. My plugs are standard Autolite #24.

Re: two choices

I had the worst time with those headers. The best solution I had was to get a short plug, dent the tube in very slightly, and cut up a coke can to make a heat shield around the boot.

Re: two choices

Don't use header wrap unless you want to replace your headerr frequently. It promotes rust through.

Re: two choices

Iused header wrap for my fuel line close to the engine block . No reason you couldnt use it for plug wires. Can buy a shorter -less expensive roll from summitt, just get some good cable ties to hold it on (like metal ,IKNOW PEP BOYS STOCK )

Re: two choices

If your plugs are the same heat range, I don't think it should matter. I wouldn't do it, though.

I use Accel 276S and I had to dimple my 1 or 3 tube.

Then again, my heads use angle plugs so I was asking for it.
