Hi my name is Dave and I have a 65 C10 that I bought a few months ago. And iam ready to tear into. Iam going to school for Diesel Mechanics and my teacher is going to let me use the shop to work on it. It has a 292 in it with a 3 speed on the column rust in the common areas though I dont think its bad for this area. I dont think its bad deal I only paid $1,000 for it. I been reading though the boards and i must say it seems you have a really nice community here and I have already learned alot.

Re: first post
Welcome from sunny Iraq. I'm sure you'll do great getting to work on it there. What school are you doing diesel mechanics at? I was looking to go to NADC when I get out of the Marines or Chattanooga State Technical College for Diesel

Re: first post
I am giving this one some thought at $350.. Only problem is no radiator (which I have) and no paper work.. it is a 64 C20 with a 283 or 327. Probably a 283..

Re: first post
here's the head pics. I let it set in the hot tank for two days and did a valve job on it. The head and valves wasn't that bad just alot of carbon build up. All I had in it was 9 dollars for the valve seals. My plans are to keep the motor pretty much stock Hopefully get it rebuild in the next few weeks. Start teardown on it Monday.
