Knee surgery went great.
Just thought I would let everyone know that I am still alive and kinda kickin. Surgery went great with no problems and they think they have fixed it good. I wont be workin on the burban for awhile, but my welder went down yesterday anyway. Should be able to get the welder fixed as soon as the new rectifier shows up. Anyway, I'm good and will have plenty of time to catch up on all my picture posting in my other threads to bring everyone up to speed on my rides.

Re: Knee surgery went great.
Ive had two knee surgeries in the past two years. You'll feel better than you are. Keep it elevated regardless of how you feel. After my last one I took my girl to soccer practice. I stayed in the truck. My knee got so swollen I thought my skin was going to tear. I cried for help when we got home. I almost had to be carried in. Take it slow. Best of luck on your recovery.

Re: Knee surgery went great.
I was hooking up hydrulic hoses on my self unloading trailer and when I pushed in on the hose, my left knee twisted 90 degrees to the right followed by snap, crackle, pop! I was 575 mile from home with no cell service for 7 hours laying on the snow covered ground in a large amount of pain. I finally managed to crawl to the cab and pull myself in. I drove home on the worst snowy slick roads I have ever driven on running my 106,520 lbs peterbilt with my right foot. It took 17 hours due to the weather and when I hit the driveway, my left knee was so swollen I had to cut off a really nice pair of carhartt work pants to get blood back to my foot that was amost dead from no blood. That was 6 months ago and I have been getting better till I jumped into the cab and it twisted again. I felt it going this time and was able to fall on my a$$ gracefully at a truckstop fuel island. It tore up some cartilage and broke some pieces out of the top of my femur(the big leg bone). Nothing the 4" angle grinder couldn't make better. Doc says; you grind metal, I grind bone, tools are tools and I use the right one for the job. Of course his grinder is shiney stainless steel and costs about $30,000, but tools are tools. Its still a 4" angle grinder. LOL Sorry to be so long winded, but figured I had better tell the whole story. thanks for listening LOL

Re: Knee surgery went great.
Sounds like you had the joint replaced.
I too have had multiple knee surgeries, 1 on the right to remove some calcium deposits that were causing my knee to go limp. and 3 so far on the left knee starting with removal of the medial meniscus cartalidge, then A.C.L. replacement, and finally cleaning out yet more calcium deposits in it as well. I now have a brace I have to were all the time (although I don't) to help keep my knee tracking properly.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. I guarantee if you rush it you will pay dearly.... in problems later on. Just take it easy for a while, the truck will still be there after you are all healed up... Here's hopin' for a speedy recovery.

Re: Knee surgery went great.
I had some torn cartridge cut out of my left knee in Jan. & it's still not right. Now I'm having to go to physical therapy twice a week for 6 weeks. I hate it!
