1971 C10 Build
Just got the C10 a little less then a month ago (May 24). This truck is a 71 Long Wheel Base and i will be modifying the frame and the bed to make it a Short Wheel base. The truck is going to get bagged and body dropped on 22's or 24's.
This is how we got the truck. Pulled the front end. Pulled the bed off. Pulled the cab. Got the other shortened today. 20" off Last edited by p8ntballer1911; 06-21-2008 at 05:46 PM. |

Wow... you guys move fast!!!!!
Great progress on your truck, can't wait to see how this turns out. Keep the pics coming.... Any issues with shortening the bedsides?

Re: 1971 C10 Build
I hate it when people move this fast... Makes me feel lazy and wonder why I am in here reading about it rather then out working on my truck.. LOL Nice keep up the good work.

Re: 1971 C10 Build
We had a few issues aligning the side pieces we cut back to the bed sides, but over all it wasn't to hard. Both are done now and we are starting to fill it.
Yea, that where I got the fender, core support, and rockers. Haha thanks. |

almost everything on the firewall is going to get welded up for a clean look. I'm going to get a under dash A/C when i get around to it.

Re: 1971 C10 Build
I was thinking the opposite since I have a SWB.

Re: 1971 C10 Build
are you doing a traditional body drop or stock floor? did you use one big piece of sheet metal for the back of the cab?
