master cylinder?
is the front bowl on the master cylinder for the front brakes or rear? i am asking for the simple fact that i think mine is backwards from the original owner. 72 disc front drum rear.

The 3/4 ton master cylinder is opposite from the 1/2 ton master cylinder. The 1/2 ton has the front reservoir for the front discs. The 3/4 has the rear reservoir for the front discs.
The 3/4 ton booster and reservoir can be used on the 1/2 ton trucks. Jim

Another way to tell is to look at the size of each resevoir. The larger one is for the discs

thanks guys, the truck has an old style hydraulic trailer brake unit on it. just making sure what brakes i need to bleed after i remove it.

Get some new fluid and do them all so you can get rid of the old, black, chunky fluid that's in there now... Assuming you haven't been through the system yet.
