I bought a couple of those a couple years ago from an ebayer that had 3 or 4 complete sets. Mine came with the center piece and both corner pieces . I will have to repaint the black sections but I am sure one will find its way to one of the 77's one day . Frank

I was watching also . The last day they were at less than $100 so I thought I had a good shot at them at $250 or so . Nice parts . Once I logged on to place my bid , I soon found out I couldnt afford them .

Re: Holy Moses!

The thing with the headlight bezel , the door panel trim , and the door handles is that they all started at a very low opening price . The market place took them to where they ended up . As far as what someone is willing to pay and others arent , that is the difference between a nice truck and a damn nice correctly restored truck . If I hadn't been at several parties yesterday and Friday , I would have been in on that headlight bezel . The right side is hard to find and I need one . As for thet pair of fenders for $195 , he had them on ebay and if he would have responded with a shipping total , I would have given the $250 buy it now . Congrats on the purchase and You got an awesome deal on GM pieces . I have a pair and one more pass side . I would have added them to the parts pile . GM pieces are getting high but the trucks arent bringing much right now . Frank

Re: Holy Moses!

Frank is on the money (pun intended) here. The NOS headlamp bezels are bringing a premium because no one reproduces them in metal. You can buy chrome plated plastic but they don't last long.

I got lots of help from forum members and located the spare pair that I have at reasonable prices. Now if I could just locate an NOS 73-74 grill for a fair price...

Are you looking for a Chevy grille ? I wish I had paid more attention since one came and went on Ebay a month or so ago . It was cheap because it was listed wrong . I will keep my eyes open .

Re: Holy Moses!

*smiles ... I know the grille you're talking about ... I bought it ... It's almost too beautiful to put on a truck ... I believe the seller was French Canadian and spoke limited english. ... It took a month to get here from Canada but it was well worth the wait ... I asked if he had any other truck parts but didn't get a response.
I did a weird search ... nobody else bid ... just a reserve. $100 + 46 for shipping. His listing picture did not do it justice but I don't think any pics really could. ... *still smilin'

its all supply and demand.. with more of the old gas hogs going to the crusher with the gas crunch, its only going up from there then they get to rape you on shipping too
