Re: Trim????

I have seen 3M double sided tape do some amazing stuff...

I attached the headliner and trim in my 68 with it and it has not fallen at all... the only issue I see it the stock trim doesnt have a flat surface behind it to attach the tape to.... May have to lay epoxy or something in there to attach the tape too...

P.s. I drilled the holes in my truck for the trim and honestly it was not a bad job to do... Measure twice drill once!

Re: Trim????

I noticed that it doesnt have a flat surface and figured that would be the kicker. the trim i bought doesnt have the clips on the back but im sure i can buy those somewhere and just suck it up and start drillin! I'll probably try to glue it first then if that doesnt work ill drill it, thanks for the advice.

Re: Trim????

I covered the sides of my truck where the trim goes with that blue painters tape... I then lined it up and traced it... from there I figured clip position and started drilling.... have fun!!

Re: Trim????

Was drilling them how they came factory? I have a trim set that was screwed in, which I thought was rigged.

I think Mar-K sells it. At least they do for the lower trim on the 69-72.

Re: Trim????

Here's a picture of the aftermarket plastic clip, next to the original. I was told that I could use the 3-M double sided tape on this plastic one but I haven't done it yet-didn't like the way the clip was sorta concave.
