engine swap...info needed asap

I have a '97 Chevy 1500 with a 305 (5.0) and due to reasons beyond my control, am looking for a new engine to throw in. I can get a 5.0 or a 5.7 for the same price (remanufactured).

My question is if I go with the 350 will I encounter any problems with the computer I have now for the 305? Any other problems besides that? Or will everything match up perfectly and I go on down the road?

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

i have an 88 gmc..i swaped in a 305 after i blew my 350...i had no problems at all....the only thing i had to change were my enigne brackets that bolt to the mounts...but mind you my truck is much older than urs
