Exclamation Need Help, interchangable parts 1968 C10

I am starting a new build and it happens to be my first truck. I just bought a 1968 C10 long bed and want to know if the rear end, front spindles, from a 1985 Cherolet Van fit my 1968 c10?

Thanks

Re: Need Help, interchangable parts 1968 C10

Welcome to the board....first the rear axle issue. You have a coil spring setup now right? The newer axles were mostly leaf sprung so it's not a direct bolt in. You'll be grinding & welding for sure....we've done this on 2bits truck and it was quite the job.

On the spindles I am not sure, but if they are the same as the 73-87 trucks the whole front end will swap in to take the place of yours.

Measure the width. Usually the van parts are much wider.
