Tilt Bed?

Hi, I am looking for pics of tilt beds on our trucks. I am thinking of tilting my late model stepside bed on my 68 build. Does anyone here have pics of side tilts, rear tilts or even pics of beds that raise straight up off the frame. I am giong to use acuators with remote control to raise or tilt the bed. I think this would go along with the rest of my build since the hood reverse tilts with actuators, doors open, bed lid opens, and tailgate opens with actuators. I will post pics soon when I get everything fine tuned.

Thanks in advance,

Renegade

Re: Tilt Bed?

It seems to me that there was a 71-72 Chevy my dad had on the lot in the 70's that was a tilt bed. Meaning that it tilted to dump. No tricks like you see on these trucks today. One of us in this family may have a pic of it in a photo album somewhere. I am going to have to ask around the family on that. It seems like it was about 1975 when it was around.

Re: Tilt Bed?

The mini-trucks were a prime source of vehicles with tilt features, back in the 80's, as I remember. A scissor-lift mechanism was installed that allowed the owner to remotely lift it, tilt it and so forth, was de rigeur for the wow factor.
