Re: I might sell my truck....

Sleep on selling the truck. Congratulations on 2 months.
Take it one day at the time. Take it one hour at the time
if necessary. Do not hesitate to call your sponsor. The changes
are subtle but real and the day will come when you will
look back and say: "My worst day sober is ten times better
than my best day drinking".

I just cant afford to keep gas in it, Im putting about $30-35 a day in just to get to work and back.

And while on my way home from work I hit a goose or a duck or something(Wichita, KS people should know them as the Cessna flock) and put it through my radiator. So between that and gas I had to dedicate my whole paycheck to that damn truck. But since Im not drowning a bottle of Everclear everynight I able to afford it.

I was looking at an '01 WS6, but with two DWIs on my record I couldnt afford the $470 a month insurance so I gave up on that idea.

The truck is paid of, so selling it wont get me out of any jams. I think I may just store it and buy a cheap S10 or something to get me out of this rut. Then dust it off and pick it back up once I get back on my feet.

Glad to hear you have made it two months sober, it gets easier as the time passes.

I have been sober now since '96 and I feel a lot better.

Re: I might sell my truck....

Congrats on being 2 months sober, and 3 weeks to the other poster with 3 weeks. Alcohol killed my father and I commend you on making a life change. I agree with sleeping on selling your truck.

Could you live with yourself if you sold a truck with the ultra rare corvette option? Good luck finding another one.

S-10s are good trucks. Great on gas as well.

Cold Turkey is rough, but so is Evilclear.

Good luck to you!!!!!!!
