Re: what would be better?
I say flat or semi gloss black. I don't like the flashy frames mostly cuz if you ever drive it any road dirt or water will show. If it's all show, paint it the same color. If it's an off road only vehicle, paint it primer grey, cracks in the frame show up better in lighter colors.

POWDERCOAT! Black if its stock/offroad, maybe go with a color if it is a trailer queen.

Re: what would be better?
]
heres an example of how nice the frame could look painted, actually i think im gonna use this same color. maybe i should have worded it differently.. what whould be WORTH more($$$)? black frame or matching color frame? the truck is not gonna be a daily driver.. more like a toy. i personally think this looks much better than a black frame would for what im doing. ALSO it says in the article that this truck is driven daily... Last edited by toplesskayfiver; 07-07-2008 at 05:35 PM. |

Re: what would be better?
Maybe it's just me or my age, but I have to be different. I say go black, but the lite color idea seems reasonable. OK, that makes my vote for light and dark...it's a push
You could always paint your truck black, then it would match the frame...LOL

Re: what would be better?
just remember
if you have ever been to a car show and seen a really kick a$$ show car that has been sold to someone else that isnt taking care of it like it should be then you know that a body color painted frame that isnt just absolutely clean as the body looks real tacky but on a show vehicle you cant go wrong with body color you just have to keep up on it as much as the body i built a t-bucket when i was a senior in highschool got in the real world and had to sell it i saw it a few years later at a car show and almost wept openly it looked like my old work van |

I'm going to have to disagree with most of the people here and say BLACK!
