Re: rubber or vinyl floor mats
stay away from the MIP vinyl floor mats, they are a pain in the butt to mess with. I just got one from Brothers (ACC) and had the worst time with it. So I just ordered carpet from Brothers(great people BTW)and it went in perfectly. Try the "ORIGINAL" rubber mat instead. JMO

Re: rubber or vinyl floor mats
I'd go with the vinyl mat, I love mine. - http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...98&postcount=3
It is thick and heavy but leave it in the sun for 30 minutes or so and it becomes a lot more flexible. Call ACC, if you can get it without the jute padding you can save yourself some money. I was not impressed with the padding but would go with the vinyl again in a heartbeat.

Re: rubber or vinyl floor mats
I saw an original truck with very nice rubber mat and decided to do that route.

Re: rubber or vinyl floor mats
We have (5) trucks with the rubber mats and really like them. They fit well and are easy to keep clean. The oldest one is 6 years old and still looks great. I would suggest using the 71-72 style in the 70 and older trucks as they have "tails" on them which covers the floor areas between the seats and the doors.

Re: rubber or vinyl floor mats
I love my rubber floor mat but I gotta say it did not hold up worth a crap....where did you get yours Jim???? mine is from LMC and had a hole wore in it in less than 2 yrs of daily driving.......strange how my original one lasted to about 100,000 miles on the odometer before I wore a hole in it....I think that was only cause the rubber was starting to dry rot from age....

Re: rubber or vinyl floor mats
Does anyone else have views on Rubber or Vinyl. I am trying to make the decision on what to do. Carpet is not really out of the running either.
