81-87 4x4 Center floor section

Looking for a 81-87 4x4 center floor section, preferably out of a 4-speed truck. I recently bought a clean Texas 2wd cab, and am looking for the bolt in section out of a 4x4 to convert this cab to 4wd. If any of you are junking out one of these cabs and have a good center section let me know. Thanks! ...Joe

I will have a center section out of a blazer this by this weekend, just need to pick it up. I bought a couple of parts vehicles. I am only a couple hours away from Springfield.

Re: 81-87 4x4 Center floor section

You have to pay attention some are glued in. If you are converting a 2wd cab for 4x4 you need to cut the center hump on the 4x4 because under the front of the seat it has hump also for the transfer case. I seen a thread on this a while back. It was easy to do.

Is it a bolt in or glued in, or have you got that far with it yet? ...Joe

Re: 81-87 4x4 Center floor section

I will pick them up on Sunday and will know more. The Blazer is an 83 4X4, I am getting it for the doors and front clip. I'll take some pictures and post them for you on Sunday.

Thanks for the offer! Is it a bolt in center? If I can't find one locally, I may be getting back to you on it. One of the guys at work that messes with these old trucks said he didn't have one either, but one of the guys he knows may have one, he'd have to ask and get back to me. He commented on how a lot of parts like this aren't reproduced by the aftermarket yet, and since most people don't see any value in the parts, a lot of them are being crushed at a fast rate. Makes them a little bit harder to find, but they are still out there. Anyway, if I end up needing yours I'll definately send you a PM. ...Joe
