Re: ELECTRICAL Question
Ok. Here's what I see. The wire you speak of appears to be too short. I would either replace it with a new wire that has a industrial grade ring terminal at the battery end and simply mount it on the clamp bolt. Then I would route it so that it enters the distribution block from the side (not the front). Clean up the post and use a new star lock washer and a nylock nut. That should take care of it.

Re: ELECTRICAL Question
personally, I would measure the length of that whole cable, from the battery to the starter, and then the small wire too... add 4 inches to the measurement of the small one, and go buy a whole new cable. Those clamp on terminals are junk and will cause problems one day, and just gives it a rigged look.

Re: ELECTRICAL Question
ring terminal - goes on the end of the wire - most are crimped on - soldered would be better.

Re: ELECTRICAL Question
Fuseable link. make sure you replace it with a fuseable link. It should have had one there at one time and you can get them from your local auto parts dealer. It attaches to the terminal block and the other end to the red wire. easy install and great piece of mind.
