Question A little help with heads....

Ok, I have 3 sets of heads, all different castings, and I want to figure out what would be worth it to use. first the engine is a 350 4 bolt, cam will be a little more than stock (havent selected one yet), edelbrock performer intake and 1406 carb. this is going in a 72 c10 with a th350 and 3.08 posi.

Basicly all that being said, heres the cast numbers:

3932441
3998993 (made in mexico)
333882

yes I know everyones view on vortec heads and aftermarket heads. I have a VERY small budget for this build, and I need to use what I have. the truck is not going to be a power house, it will be a summertime daily driver.

Thanks for all your help in advance!!

Re: A little help with heads....

On a budget, they are exactly in the order that "I" would choose them, being the 441's first. The 993's and 441's are a similar head. There's a lot of hype of the 882's prone to cracking when they get too hot, but others have had good luck.

You can also check mortec.com for a little more info on the heads.

Just my $.02 though, I'm interested to hear others comments or recommendations.

Re: A little help with heads....

I would go with the 993 heads. That is to be the best pair of stock heads. On our dirt race cars, that can only use certain stock heads, those are to be the best ones.

Re: A little help with heads....

Thanks guys, I think I'll start tearing down the 441's and go from there.
