HHO Gas - Brown Gas

Been reading about it and was wondering if it is for real and if anyone had used it on one of our trucks or any vehicle to increase mpg.

Re: HHO Gas - Brown Gas

i had my 95 GMC running off it (at idel) on pure HHO, not HHO gas blend....it wouldnt run if i gave it gas, because my generator i made didnt create enough hygrogen.... here is the short vid i made of my hydrogen generator

My cousin told me last night at the local cruise in that there was a guy that had a display and was selling something at the "Back To The Fifties" show in MN. He gave me a web site to go to called http://www.passmygas.com/ I haven't read anything on it yet but I plan to.

Thanks 68 Short Step - Well, you proved it is for real. That was a cool video. Did you build that generator on your own or did you buy a kit from a website like LockDoc was talking about?

Re: HHO Gas - Brown Gas

HHO is pretty neat. I've heard from guys that you get the best results with a fish carburetor and an HHO generator since (from what everything I can gather) the HHO essentially raises the octane rating of the gas to a massive extent when mixed.

I just have a q-jet, but someday I hope to get myself a good fish carb. Basically a mechanical fuel injection system that runs at a mix ratio of 17:1, or thereabouts depending on how you've got it tuned. They're a drag to tune.

Re: HHO Gas - Brown Gas

My Dad and I are working on getting one to run solely on Hydrogen, The voltage going to the generator play REALY big parts in how much Hydrogen it makes. The less amps it pulls the better. and reducing the voltage also.
Also you can't just use plain water, you have to add an eletrolite, such as baking soda. we have found out recently but haven't tried it, but Lye is suppost to be a better eletrolite. Because these things create alot of heat, and the lye is suppost to keep the temps down, but also stimulating more hyrdrogen production.

If it works for I-6's I might have to look into it.

Re: HHO Gas - Brown Gas

I've heard lye is a better electrolyte, but I didn't know it kept the temps down. I'll have to try it.

I know a guy who used to run his lawnmower solely on HHO, but he burnt it up. I guess the aluminum was too soft for the heat and pressures so he lost compression. Last I heard he was going to try chrome lining the cylinder wall to prevent it from becoming all scraped up.

Here is the best site I found for plans.... There may be others.

http://www.ehow.com/how_2262517_hho-...ctrolyser.html

One thing I found that makes sense: You need two vacuum lines from the HHO generator, one direct to the intake manifold for idle and one to the air intake tube or vacuum port above the throttle plate for high speed. You can run one hose from the container and put a vacuum "T" or "Y" in it to split it.

Re: HHO Gas - Brown Gas

Lots of stuff out there on this. Get on YouTube and do a search....quite a bit comes up. This website has lots of info, but the guy wants some $ for the "how to". I'd like to hear from someone that has actually had success.

Re: HHO Gas - Brown Gas

The only thing I know about this stuff is what I learned when my brother was playing around years ago. He would take lye and drop some tin foil in and the fumes it gave off was hydrogen. We filled balloons and stuff with it and made some big booms..

Re: HHO Gas - Brown Gas

The "Mythbusters" disproved this on their show. It wouldn't produce enough to run a normal car more than just enough to start it..But then again I do always see faults in their methods..

I have been reading about this for along time. Have been thinking of trying it....

Stanley Meyer made an engine and it ran COMPETELY off water.....The sold his plans for the engine to the government and a year and a half later he was murdered...(he was offered 100 billion dollars from OPEC for the rights to it...)
