any square body dually crews here?
Getting ready to start my 89. Just curious how many of us there are here. I like 'em low and have done a bagged and SFBD 92 crew in the past. Also over on the 67-72 side with my Suburban build linked in sig.
Josh

Re: any square body dually crews here?
a subject that i love.... long, lowered crew cab dually.. just look long and sleek, well the sleek might be pushing it a little... theres just so much truck to play with.. the possiblityies are ;imited by money only,,
but i figured say cool truck jc.. i got to find where ever the ol lady is now keeping our pictures at,, and get a link for my stuff..lol but there has to be more than the 3 of us.. 1976 crew cab dually, static drop, hmm, i need more pictures of it..lol

Never thought I'd like white wheels, but they look right on your truck. Never thought I'd like powder blue, either...but I was wrong. Cool color combo.

Amen to the baby blue 2 tone as well. I also love it on the lid, too.

Re: any square body dually crews here?
Thanks for the compliments on the sled.
The steelies are only gonna stay until December. I'm gonna pick up some Eagle 129/130's; and once the body work is done, I'm ditching the two-tone in favor of a midnight blue. All the trim is staying, but I'm going to take it off and polish it 'till it shines like new. Also picked up the rear cab trim and a Blazer tailgate panel at the local pick-n-pull that's in pretty dang good shape. ...So...sorry to disappoint some of you cats. |

Re: any square body dually crews here?
Father in law has one, but its a work truck and wont be getting dropped any time soon, the fact its a 4x4 sorta nullifies that idea too.. and the snow plow on it..

Re: any square body dually crews here?
finally got some pics off the cell of my new aquisition.
plans are to lay it out HARD and use it to tow my '72 to long distance shows, here's pics of my last crew: it was basically a "lowner" and had to be returned to it's owner who was one of my shops very best customers. I hope to start a build page of the square body soon. Josh

Re: any square body dually crews here?
Mostly just wanted to revive this thread but I did take a bunch of detailed pics of my '89 and posted them up on the 'bucket.
Linky is in my signature. Let me know what you think. I have all the air parts and a pretty good idea for the rest of the suspension. I just need to get my burb chassis rolling so I can move her out and the 89 in. Josh

Re: any square body dually crews here?
Capt. is correct it was installed in 89 when the conversion company added all their extras. only thing I don't like is my custom back seat folds down and is supposed to fold flat like a bed. With the added room of the window mech it doesn't quite get flat. I hate to admit it but that window is one of the reasons I bought this particular truck. Add the new parts and it was a steal.
I finally got my roller for my burb ready and as soon as one of my homies delivers the spindles we traded for this thing is on. Also should be getting the orange one back for more work, looking like a shave, rear suicides, escalade front and new rims for it. camera is warmed up and waiting. Josh
