mid 70's sway bar
is a front sway bar off a mid 70's 2wd chevy pick-up any good to me with a 68 2wd? I got it for free so if not no biggie.

They are exactly the same. There are 2 sizes: 1" and 1.25". The big one is better. Get the correct size bushings and you will need the front mounts. If you truck is lowered, get the EEC low mounts.
I recommend you get the High Energy poly bushings at AutoZone or the like because they come with a greaseable bracket. The MOOG bushing does not include the bracket and it costs more. I just painted my bar silver. It should look nice when mounted.

looks like i've got the 1.25" with the mounts. kind of a lucky deal. dad had a friend scrapping out a truck and dad asked if he could keep the sway bar just cause you never know. got it for free about 15 years ago and i found it when cleaning out the fence row behind our machineshed. its got the steel mounts on it too were they the same clear through the 70's? thanks again, Dave

I am using the one out of my 87 on my 69. I used the A frame mounts. Everything bolted up just fine.
