Re: Pictures of my truck finally!!
Its a freshly rebuilt 350 and I have the Victor Jr on it that I'm gonna sell and replace with a PP Crossfire manifold. Its got a Holley 650 Double pumper and I have a K&N filter not installed yet.
Heres the truck when I got it for $1000. It had a perfectly running 283 with 111k on it, 3 on the tree, and it fired up after sitting for over a year first try! After some work |

Re: Pictures of my truck finally!!
Yeah the valve covers took me an afternoon to paint, I'm thinking about using some high temp clear on them. I still have to paint the "edelbrock" logo with a brush in silver.

Re: Pictures of my truck finally!!
It was a PITA to make the zbar fit around the header tube and a lot of people said it couldn't be done but lo and behold it's on there! They are hooker HOK-2452HKR I got them from summit for $189 but to be honest I would get shorty headers. There is nothing fun about the longtubes, IE limited room around the oil filter, plugs are a pain, etc.

Re: Pictures of my truck finally!!
Well maybe you can drive that thing out to San Jose for the BBQ.. Just start saving up for gas.. Or you can pick up another member and split some of the gas..

Love the truck. You've done a nice job. Bet it sounds nice with those glass packs under the cab! Visited Bakersfield a few weeks ago but I didn't hear you blasting up the road! Phil.

Re: Pictures of my truck finally!!
I took a couple of video clips to get an exhaust note for you guys, but it didn't come out so well. You can hear the idle well but when I rev it my camera goes into noise cancelling mode so you can't hear how damn loud this thing really is. I will post them anyways.

Re: Pictures of my truck finally!!
I can get the idea from the short movies Magoo. Sounds nice and crisp. Are they Cherry Bombs? I fitted a couple of Smithy glass packs to my 66 and mounted them in the same position under the cab. Wakes up the neighbours at 6am, Phil.

This one guy with a Honda has one of those REALLY sensitive alarms where if you sneeze it goes off and he feels the need to park RIGHT next to me every day.

Also please excuse the fact that I'm rocking the crocs in one of the videos . My dog ate my vans so I have no other shoes besides my chef shoes which I don't wear outside
